How to organize your visit :
First of all, you have to be patient, the line to get in the castle can be very long ... (up to 2 hours in high season).

For a complete but non exhaustive visit of Versailles you will need a full day. The visit of the main sites of the castle and of the gardens can be done in a half-day.

The palace of Versailles is one of the most visited French monument because of its architecture, its gardens and also because of its history. It receives several millions of visitors a year and offers shows and special events all year long.

The visit of Versailles can be divided into three main areas :
